Hi there I'm bekki... I'm 25 years old and found this app about half hour ago... iv tried going on jogs before but have always given in... Most of the time because I feel so insecure... iv been a smoker for 10 years(really want to quit,but one thing at a time) I'm overweight currently around the region on 15-15 and a half Stone... I'm going to be using this app as I really want to lose weight to be able to run around after my little one and to get in better shape/health... because of me being a smoker I do struggle with my chest whilst running... so any pointers would be greatly appreciated Thankyou all and good luck with your journeys

Hi Bekki! I just quit smoking after 20+ years last October. You have to get your mind to a place of, your health is more important than that next cigarette. I used Chantix, and it really worked for me. Welcome to training, and good luck to you!

I was initially insecure also. I generally run pretty early in the morning which becomes my time because no one else is around. Now that some of the weight has dropped off, I feel much better about myself.

 

The best advice I can give is to have fun with it & go at your own pace. Make sure you have good running shoes.

hey Bekki, go slow with the running and dont worry about what other people think trust us they are all concentrating on their own music or (prayers like i do). They are all working on breathing and pace not paying attention to you. So with that worry down please go check out the panda chronicles in accountability there is some good breathing advice in there. The main thing is have fun enjoy and know we are all pulling for you
