Netty1202
So this is weird for me, but I find that at least once a day, I think to myself I want to run everyday. I am only on week 4 of this program. I am amazed at myself, being overweight and generally unfit for the last decade. Even before that, I did not run. Like EVER. I am interested to know if anyone else is feeling especially inspired by running? Sorry if this is a little cheesey, I'm sorta embarrassed just writing it. Guest TrishE
Dont be embarrassed! That's great running and exercise has a great effect on your body and mind. It releases endorphins in your brain which is a feel good hormone. That's what makes working out so addicting sometimes. More than that though pushing yourself and seeing how strong and capable you are is a great feeling
Clairey-Lou39
Me too! My husband has even told me to 'just go for a run' when I was particularly grumpy one afternoon, just because he knew I'd come back in a better mood! djplong
Netty1202, you're not alone. I think I said this somewhere else but.. If you would have asked anyone who knew me about the chances of me becoming a jogger, they would have told you that my kids would have a better shot at going swimming in an open-air pool on the MOON before I'd take up jogging.I still don't consider myself a runner but I find myself wanting to get out there to keep the statistics going up (as recorded on apps on my phone) and my weight going down (22 pounds lost since this started). I still haven't hit any of my 'goals' (an injury derailed my schedule - so I bought a bike and started riding that to try and keep some cardio going) but that may come as soon as January. WandaV
I was a confirmed couch potato but I'm in week 6 now. And surprise! I find myself wanting to run more, too. It's magic. That's what it is! Twobees
Jeshi
Netty, I'm surprised at my own willingness to run as well. I had a fear of running and had resigned myself to being a person "who just can't run." Now, I'm hyped up and feel the craving at least once a day! Yay! Rob129
The same feelings have developed for me; I really look forward to running especially on the weekend when i run both days. Getting an activity watch that measures Max VO2 and records distance/fastest mile has made it entertaining, sort of like a game. djplong
I have goals in mind and each session is movement towards those goals. Like the OP, I find myself looking forward to the next run and aggravated when I can't (now that I'm back to running after an injury). I *never* would have thought that I would feel like that under ANY circumstances!
Twobees
I'm the same. Just want my Legs to move. I'm due to start week three today but just want to run. Who would of thought. I've gone from being a blob and maybe doing under 5000 steps a day to wanting to run in such a short time. Who would of guessed? Not me that's for sure

Twobees
Going good thanks. W2d2 today after a horrid week last week. I'm down to a couple of cups of tea and drinking coffee. Not sute if it's the iron levels increasing because I've reduced tannins or if it's the cafine. What every it is, I like it. Lol. I feel like running again
Wendell
I feel I may be pushing it a little too much, but it's like I can't help it! I have this need to run every day. I'm only in week 3, but I can't wait to get to week 4. I also have some friends and coworkers wanting me to sign up for a 5k run/walk on Thanksgiving morning. I really don't want to do one until I know I can run all of it, but also want to just go for it. Decisions decisions lol.
Anne Lang
@Wendell so what if you dont finish it so what if you walk most of it go have fun with friends and coworkers. Dont push your training thats when injuries happen. @Twobees great news Wendell

I really don't want to do one until I know I can run all of it, but also want to just go for it. Decisions decisions lol. Running every day is counterproductive to learning to run. It's also flirting with running injury which could set you back a month+. First off, when you don't have a rest day, your muscle fiber doesn't have time to regrow and make you stronger. You'll become a stronger runner if you have stronger legs. Additionally, and I say this from unfortunate experience, you do not want to spend a month watching runners out the window as you're in physical therapy for runners knee (Patellofemorol Pain Syndrome). Overuse injuries happen. Running is a contact sport. Treat your body well and give it the rest it needs and it will reward you with better running. Cycle, Elliptical, Yoga, Golf, Hike. Find off day activities!! Your body will thank you for it.
Netty1202
So my update. I just finished W6D3. I had a hard time with this one. I went on holiday and had a 5 day period with no running. If I were in the advice giving group, I would not recommend a long break during this program. I have since ran every other day. And I had to repeat week 6 completely.. But today I finally found my grove again. I found an old album I really loved on spotify and I went for it! Back to feeling amazing!
