    Week 1 day 2
Yesterday I did  day 2 of week 1 on my elliptical. First I didn't want to do it because I'm not a very sportive person but I am glad that I did it. I want to finish this program on my elliptical. Maybe when I lose some weight and my body is in better shape I will going to like sport but for now it's still difficult. I feel like I have no energy. But I will finish it. And I'm trying to eat as healthy as possible.
Well tomorrow I will do day 3.
    Kamille.

Ever since I posted, it has concerned me that you might feel like I'm judging you, Kamille. I assure you that I'm very supportive of you using an elliptical. I think it's great that you're doing this!

CleBkPkr got a reaction from Crabapple in I am going camping for three days. I want to make sure my family is drinking safe/clean water, do you recommend chlorine or iodine tablets?
I hadn't seen this post or I would have replied sooner. I go backpacking & camping a LOT. I use this: https://www.amazon.com/Hiker-Microfilter-S-N/dp/B009T7IYIA/ref=asc_df_B009T7IYIA/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242012186291&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15510471062286967889&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9015329&hvtargid=pla-455760388252&psc=1
It's very simple, no chemicals and after heavy use in waterways with a lot of sediment, or 3 to 6 months regular use you can just replace the filter. I've had mine for 20+ years.

It doesn't really "connect" to MFP.  If you post your workout to MFP you will see it all the way at the bottom of the "diary" page under exercise.  Fotbit connects and will automatically sync with MFP. This app will not.

I have the same struggle wanting something sweet! I completely cut out everything except black coffee, tea and water as far as something to drink goes... I was a full on Diet Coke junkie lol
For snacks I have been eating Kind bars, pistachios and occasionally popcorn that I pop myself on the stove. Every once in a while a little piece of dark chocolate. I use myfitnesspal to track everything. It seriously helps. If you come up with some good ideas, please share!

Being over 40 years of age and  around 260 lbs on the wrong side of scale had completed the C25K program 3 weeks back. Infact did a local marathon for 5K where same was completed in 55:07 mins:sec last year and current was completed in 36:04 mins:secs. And today I am 210lbs and definitely faster due to the app. Though didnot lose the entire weight due in the time using C25K app but definitely accelerated the weight loss. Had never believed that I would be able to run/jog entire 5K ever in my life and was able to do so and surprised a lot of people. Now the next goal for next year is sub 30 min 5K and a 10K.

    Hello,
Just checking out the forum. I have always loved going to the gym and working out but the last year or so has been rough... anyway I'm just starting to get back into working out from home now focusing a lot on pushups and core exercises and hope to get back into running if this Wisconsin winter ever ends. I also started to cut soda out of my diet and that is going ok. Not perfect, but much better than how it used to be. Now I need to find a cure for my sweet tooth...

Welcome aboard! I just finished week 2 after repeating week 1. Tomorrow I'll start week 3 and see how it goes. If need be, I'll go back and repeat week 2. I really want to be successful! Good luck to both of you and let me know how it's going

I repeated week 1 also and I am glad I did. I just started week 3 this morning. I honestly was surprised at myself. My legs are a litle tired this afternoon but that is alright by me... keep at it!

When I am absolutely craving sweets but want to avoid them, I eat fruit (frozen unsweetened fruit and some kind of milk, put in a blender is delicious). Also, I discovered that really good snacks are things like sunflower seeds, almonds, and other nuts and seeds. You can put some in a snack bag and carry them in a pocket. Then you've got something to snack on so you won't get so hungry that you ravenously eat all the donuts and candy bars and sodas you can.

Most people don't cut out an entire group of macros though. A true keto diet is low carb, though some people have extremely low carbs and others are more moderate.
My experience with keto is that it seemed to help, but I had a difficult time eating all the fat and protein that it was calculated I should have. I still try to do low-carb; and not eat carbs and fat at the same time because that seems to put pounds on me.
I am beginning the body ecology diet now, because it seems like my body needs help digesting food. I think once I get those microbes in my gut that need to be there, then I might be able to get rid of that last 15-18 pounds that I keep fighting with.

Well done for sure! If your shins hurt, could be "shin splints" and they are ridiculously painful. Been there, done that. It has taken about 4 months to really get past that. Here are 2 things that have made a huge difference 1. Stretch, especially your calf muscles. I can't stress this enough. Make sure they are warmed up. 2. Try wearing calf sleeves. They do help.
Good job and keep moving forward. Remember... a 7 minute mile and a 20 minute mile are still A MILE!!! You will get there.

I was thinking about this question... and was wondering why you would want to change it to 4 days? Is it to shorten each day. meaning taking the 3 days of workouts and dividing them into 4? Or, keeping the same pace for 4 days overall?
I think the way it's set up is to ensure rest days in between. You can always incorporate other things for the off days...

The fitbit app will do this as well as myfitnesspal. Both of them are great together. I use myfitnesspal to track all my food and it syncs with my fitbit. You can put your food into either, I just prefer myfitnesspal since adding recipes is infinitely easier. Both apps track calories, macro nutrients and how much of a calorie deficit you should have. In all honesty, once I cleaned up my eating habits I get plenty of the right calories and am not feeling deprived at all. I've been losing the weight steadily now. For myself I don't advocate any of the trend diets like Keto... it can't be healthy cutting out an entire group of macros and for me it would never be sustainable.

"Running a 5K" is on my goal list for 2019 as well! I walked a 5K last year on Thanksgiving Day and it was a lot of fun. My average mile was 19:01 so that is my benchmark. I signed up for one on St. Patrick's Day to see how I am progressing. I'm on week 2 of C25K. I repeated week 1 on purpose. So far so good. The weather here is not conducive to running so until it warms up and thaws out I'm using a treadmill.

I finished the c25k app 3 weeks ago.  Felt great to finish, but you know what?  It feels even greater to keep with it.
I have gone back a few weeks and started running for the distance and not the time.  It has kept me going with a steady progression and now I absolutely feel ready to start week 9 of the c210k app!
My first 5k will be March 23!  I love running!  My husband has also started running and that makes me happy!!
    Keep running everyone!!
