I am in my 6th week of the C25K program and finished my first 5K this past weekend!  Only had to stop twice to take a short walk to slow my breathing and am blessed that I had my husband by my side the entire time encouraging me.  It took me 43 minutes but I FINISHED.  I have problems controlling my breathing which I know is wearing me out quickly, but I know this will improve with time.  56 pounds down since my lifestyle change and this program is a wonderful addition! Thank you Zen Labs!! :D

Congratulations to you!!   :) I understand what you are saying about not comparing yourself to other runners..  I "run" very slowly and feel my speed should be so much better.  However, my husband continually tells me - "at least you are doing it; doesn't matter the speed!".  Keep up the good work and don't feel bad about repeating a week if you have to!  I started week 5 yesterday and probably will be on this one for a while to build up my endurance.
