I have been wondering the same thing! I've been running every other day, without taking the extra day off. That has me at the middle of "week 8", but in reality I've only been running for just over 6 weeks. It's worked out fine for me, but I might consider taking that extra day off (skip a day between runs, skip an extra day between "weeks") as the runs are getting longer.... The best advice I've gotten is the "listen to your body" advice!

Thanks KellyAnn... I'm at week 8 day 2 now, still sticking with the "every other day" runs.... Kudos to you! I'm not sure my body could handle running 4 days in a row! I'm loving the app, and loving the runs! I just wish I could speed up my pace now!

I'm sure this has been asked many times, so please forgive me, but I can't find a definitive answer. I start week 7 tomorrow, and since the beginning, I've been running every other day, and that's been working fine for me. But as the distances, and times, have been getting longer I need the opinion from you experts out there..... Is it better for this 52 yr old male to start taking the extra rest day each week, or should I continue with the "every other day" routine? Any advice is much appreciated!

Completed week 5 this morning..... I'm psyched! KRucks, how is week 3 going for you?

It's quite a jump from week 3 to 4 for a 52yr old in all this humidity down south! But I'm determined to get back into the 5Ks after a 20 year layoff from running. I've got this!!

Week 8 day 2 today! This was probably the best I've felt after a run since starting. This app has done wonders for me!! When I started the program, I had serious doubts about whether I'd be this far along in 8 short weeks, but I stuck with it, and it feels great..... Bring on that 5k!!!
