Hi. Well I finally was able to finish the week 1 workout. It took me 4 tries to get it. I weigh 300 pounds so its a bit hard. A couple years ago I finish this program, but now i gained alot of weight and grew out of shape.

I have been going almost every day and not sore so i am happy. I run with my dog and son. They help motivate me. I need to lose like 100 pounds. I also want to do some 5K soon.

I managed to run 30 minutes today for the first time and it felt great. FWIW, here’s what I’ve learned so far:

	1. Some days seem harder than others for no reason. Just accept it.
2. If you get to the end of a run and you feel like you can go a bit further, go for it but stop before you feel wrecked.
3. Eat a piece of fruit half an hour before you go.
4. Leave at least 1 day between runs.
5. Don’t neglect stretching before and after each run.
6. Knee guards actually make a difference.
7. And here is the big one. When you get to the runs without walks, you have to change your mindset. Before you take off, picture yourself running to the end without the breaks.
Enjoy!

I’m nervous about starting this program. I think I’ve finally admitted to myself that I gained a few pounds and I’m not longer the fit, cross-country runner I used to be in high school.

	My goals are:

	- lose 25 pounds in the next 3 months

	- build your confidence

	- slim down thighs and calves a little

	- be able to run 30 minutes without stopping.

Anyone else on here gain the freshmen 15 (or more in my case) and looking to work it off?

But for myself I would like to do a Spartan type of race for fun, and to fight off old age as long as I can.

Hi! Training is a new thing for me. I have always just signed up for a race and completed it one foot infront of another jogging/running the whole time.

I have not run more then 1.5 miles since April 2020 when races were set down. I signed up for 10 miles April 2021. I know I need to train so I am starting with C25k and will increase from there. However, I am not a huge fan of the intervals.

Any training advice or tips greatly appreciated.

	Thanks & happy running everyone!!!

I am 300lbs and 38yrs old with low testosterone and this imbalance wreaks havoc on my mind. I want to get down to 200lbs in a healthy and sustainable fashion. I don’t know what that looks like and or how long this should take but I’m up for the challenge. Someone anyone get on me when I seem laxed. I return 10/11/20

What I plan to get out of this other than healthy weight loss and lifestyle is to be able to run a marathon.
For the first part of quarantine I really let myself drop into a depression. I got up to my highest weight (151.8 lbs) and had no energy or will to do anything.

I don’t know what it was but something just told me to do better. So far, I’m down 11.9 lbs and I’ve been jogging every morning. I was just doing random intervals but I’ve decided to do the 10k program.

My goals for 2020 are to get down to 120 lbs, be able to jog a 10k straight thru, and just do better for myself in general.

My motivation is my daughter. Ever since I’ve been exercising, I’ve been so energetic and so much more present. I’ve truly been a better mom. What’s your motivation?

After careful consideration, I’ve decided to train for and run my first marathon. The Portland Marathon is in October. I’ve decided to use the C25K program as my “conditioning” and then I’ll start my Marathon training after that 8 week program is up. This is the biggest goal I’ve ever set for myself. I’m nervous. I’m scared. But above it all, I’m excited about the journey.
