	I am 45 years old and started eating cheezits or goldfish on the drive home from work. My left arm and left hand now tingle most of the day. This tingle started yesterday. Today I left the salty snacks at home and have unsalted sunflower seeds as after work snack. Good, right?

	So. I’ve been working on the c210k app for 5-6 months. I’ve repeated various weeks multiple times. And this week I went back to the beginning—to week 1.
</p>

<p>
	I still can’t run for more than 5-8 minutes at a time.   I’ve repeated weeks, I’ve slowed my pace, I don’t know what I am doing wrong.
</p>

<p>
	I’ve been outside, on a treadmill, flat runs, hillier runs, I want to do a 1/2 marathon one of these days, but I don’t seem to be able to make any progress.
</p>

<p>
	Any words of wisdom?<br />
	This is getting me very down.

	<span style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;">Silent <span>meditation retreats</span></span><span style="font-size:10pt;"> are excellent to re-connect with your inner self. They allow you to detox your mind and body with the help of mindfulness activities, a healthy diet, and deep meditation sessions. They also give you the time to connect with nature and to understand yourself intimately. By offering time away from the chaotic life of the modern age and gadgets, silent <a href="https://www.amayaan.com/retreats" rel="external nofollow">meditation retreats</a> allow you to re-evaluate yourself, gain a sense of purpose, calm your mind, and give re-direction to life.<br />
	Thus, it is extremely beneficial for someone who is suffering from high stress, relationship issues, lack of motivation and purpose, and feeling directionless. It is also beneficial for those who are recovering from a recent trauma whether it is physical or mental. However, it may not be a good idea for someone who is an active patient of a mental health condition and is undergoing medication and therapy. This is because the diet may hamper the special requirements of the individual and also because he or she may not get the active attention from retreat leaders and other retreat members at all times. </span></span><br />

<p>
	Hello y'all.
</p>

<p>
	Without going into too much detail, I have severe asthma. I can't use inhalers or medicine because I'm allergic to them, so I have to try managing things naturally. I've been fighting major problems for over a year when things got really bad. One year ago I was completely bedridden with asthma. I've had multiple ER visits, a 5 day hospital stay and countless long nights. I am little by little improving in health and I'd love to get back into walking, running, exercising etc but the truth is I'm scared... I have no way of controlling things if I suddenly get an attack and it's really easy for me to get set back for days in my journey to normal health again. But I really WANT to be fit and 100% again... I sure could use some encouragement and/or tips on building strength slowly to make progress without making things worse. At this point I can run around and play games etc most the time with minor attacks only (unless it's a bad day, which has been every day this week lol) but for some reason my lungs struggle quite badly just to walk for extended times.   I seem to only be able to manage short bursts with long rests in between... But I want to be normal and fit again. <img alt=":(" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://forums.zenlabsfitness.com/uploads/emoticons/default_sad.png" srcset="https://forums.zenlabsfitness.com/uploads/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" title=":(" width="20" /> Should I attempt a plan towards running or...??

	<span style="font-size:22px;"><strong>Here are the 7 best fitness tips :</strong></span>
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	1. Find Your WHY (Burning Desire)
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	Do you know your reason why? It’s your reason why that spurs you to action and keeps you from quitting. If your reason why isn’t big enough, you’ll stay on the couch, or at least go back to it after a few weeks. Find a big enough reason why and you’ll push through to success. Do you know your reason why? Well figure it out!
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	2. Eliminate Negativity (Yeah, People, Too!)
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	Sadly, some of the biggest obstacles to overcome when trying to make positive changes in your life are your friends and family. They have many reasons, I’m sure, from trying to “protect” you or your self-esteem to trying to sabotage you out of fear because if you make all these positive changes you might just leave them behind.
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	3. Hit The Big Compound Movements
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	Compound movements give you the most bang for your buck, whether you want to jack up your metabolism so you burn tons of calories and drop fat, or you want to add pounds of muscle mass and reshape your body. This means stay away from the isolation work, whether it's concentration curls with a dumbbell. Focus on the big movements. Movements like the following: All kinds of squats and lunges Dips, Pull ups and chin ups All kinds of push ups Standing presses Kettle-bell or Dumbbell Swings Turkish Get Up Kettle-bell or Dumbbell Snatches All kinds of dead lifts All kinds of rows
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	4. Quality Over Quantity
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	It’s not about how long you workout but about how smart you workout (and yeah, hard too, although you don’t want to go all out all the time, hence the smart). Don’t just go into the gym and run yourself into the ground for two hours (or do something really crazy and stupid like pedal the stationary bike for two hours while reading a magazine without even breaking a sweat)
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	5. Find Support
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	Most people are much more likely to stick to something when they have the necessary support from others. Sadly many people in our lives are our worst enemies when we want to change ourselves and our lives for the better. Tell them to shut the F up and find real support. Yes, even online works if you don't have anyone in life that is supportive of the changes you are trying to make. Forums, blogs, email newsletters, social media, these can all be places
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	6. Get Stronger
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	Even if your goal is to “tone up” (no such thing) or lose fat, you still need to get stronger. It makes everything easier. Strength is the starting point for everything you do in everyday life, not just in your workouts. If you want to get out of that chair you better have the thigh strength to do it. You can't even press down the gas pedal without some level of strength. When training, no matter your goals, don't forget some strength training.
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	7. Read a eBook
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">
	eBooks are a good source of knowledge. Nowadays physical books are getting old and so the shift to digital Books/eBooks is necessary. eBooks are very interesting and provide a new way of thinking.
</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="background-color:#f9fafa;color:#191e1e;font-size:14px;">

	I'm always scanning the net for things to read, especially about this program. I like to hear success stories and read about other people's journey. It helps me quite a bit and this particular blog put things into a really nice perspective. It  is well worth the read for sure!

<p>
	I had also read an interview with Josh Clark, the man who originally put the Couch to 5K together. In the interview, he said <em><strong>"The animating notion behind Couch to 5K is that anyone who laces up their shoes and gets moving earns the right to be called “runner”</strong></em> "  This of course made me smile.

	<span style="color:#333333;">Last year(16) I decided that I needed to improve my fitness and lose a little weigh as I was starting to feel a bit blaaa. I have never been a runner, but wanted to give it a try. I started with the c25k app... really struggled running for even the shortest time. Gradually I improved a little and could run for 20 mins slowly without stopping. As it started to get dark before I got home from work I stopped running around the country lanes(scared I might get run over) and stopped for a few months. I then got a treadmill in feb 17and from March 17 I set myself a goal of running 3 times a week for 30 mins ( and longer or more sessions was a bonus) I have stuck to this well, the odd week I might have missed a run. <p>
	Hi guys! I need some advice... I'm so disappointed today <img alt=":(" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://forums.zenlabsfitness.com/uploads/emoticons/default_sad.png" srcset="https://forums.zenlabsfitness.com/uploads/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" title=":(" width="20" /></p>

<p>
	I'm a beginner overweight runner and so far I've enjoyed the program, but today I really struggled to run... I've been repeating week 5 day 2 for a while, because I just can't run 20 minutes straight. I repeated 8 min jogging - 5 min walking - 8 min jogging 3 or 4 times, then tried to push a little harder and run 9 min, walk 4 and run 9 again. The first time I made it! Last time, I had to stop for 1,5 min and then resumed running... but today, I just couldn't run. My legs felt so heavy and I couldn't breathe well, when I stopped, my side was hurting too... I don't run fast and I tried my best to keep a normal pace, not to push too much. The only difference I can think of is that it's getting extremely hot these days here in Italy, so maybe it's affecting me a bit... but what happened today? I usually run in the morning at around 8 am.
</p>

<p>
	Has it ever happened to you? What did you do? I easily lose motivation, especially when it comes to weight loss, but I don't want to this time! I like running and I want to improve myself and be able to run 20 min and more... what can I do?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks for reading!
